Day 6: Lotte World Shopping Area & Dongdaemun Area

Today we slept a little bit in, and after that we’ve started with our 6th day in Seoul. Today it was a little bit cloudy, but the climate was very nice. On the start of this day we went to the Lotte World area again. This time it wasn’t for the theme park, but it was for the shopping area underneath. XD We’ve explored this area and found my fun and awesome stores to hang out.

We first found the Toy’s R us store in the Lotte Department store. The Lotte department store has many stores inside of it. From electronica to fashion. The Toy’s R us was an amazing place to check out. There we found many asian toys like Gundams, Transformers, Hello Kitty, Pororo, Power Rangers and more… Even the board games were fun to see…

After the big toy store, we went to explore the Lotte Department even further. There we found many nice clothes in many styles, and it wasn’t even that expensive. After walking around the department store, we were getting hungry… so we headed to the foodcourt where we have been before with our tour to Lotte World. There we tried some new dishes, and it was good but the area where you can sit was very crowded.

When we were done with our great but also heavy lunch, we went back to the shopping area. We found a place called Star Avenue, that praises some of the famous korean stars by displaying a diorama about them. It show's what kind of movies and series they've starred in and what famous outfit they wore...

We found out that we can walk under the Lotte World area, towards the centre of the park where people can eat and go ice skating without entering the Park. There we found a nice Video Game Arcade where you can play lotsa games, like dancing games, fighting games, racing games and much more. Next to that arcade, the even was a Pororo Park with souvenir shops in front of it. And of course we had to check it out XD

The next thing we did, was go back to our hotel to drop our stuff. Then we headed out again to the surrounding area (Dongdaemun) of our hotel. We actually wanted to find this infamous Toy street that they have here in Seoul. After walking around for a while, we found the street. This street was full of shops that sells toys. From original toys to bootleg toys… We saw many Pororo, Transformers, Lego and retro toys. Also they had many stationary shops and even Hello Kitty shops.

After exploring this area for a while, it was time to check some other Department stores in the area. Because it was Saturday and it was almost 8 o clock there were some stages where artist can promote the songs. There you can hear some new talented Korean Rappers or Pop artist. You can even get on some stages to show off you dancing skills. We check the following department stores like Doota and ApM, and found that it has many stories of clothes and souvenirs to buy. It was really impressive to see this... After we walked around for a while, we head for the food court to score us some dinner...

When we finished our dinner, we headed out again to the deparment stores to check up on some clothes. With this last activity we had, we've ended our 6th day in Seoul, and we are still loving it here (^__^)V See you soon with our next blog...
