Day 5: Winter Sonata Tour (Nami Island) + Petite France

Today we went on a Winter Sonata + Petite France Tour by http://www.sallytour.co.kr/
At 8am we were picked up at our hotel with the touring car who brought us to the Ferry.
It was a 1,5 hour ride. We went with a group of other tourist from Thailand and trainee tour guides. During the trip to our destinations we talked about the places we've seen already with our tour guide. It was pretty fun and cozy.

The first destination we've arrived at was Nami Island. This Island is one of the filmlocation of the popular Korean Dramaserie Winter Sonata. It was pretty chilli when we arrived, but that was because it was still very early in the morning. To get to the island we had to take the ferry, with a boat ride of 5 minutes...

After those 5 minutes we've arrived at the Island. From the dock we had a beautiful view on a part of the Island. There we immediately took pictures of the scenery.

On the map they point out the main locations where they filmed Winter Sonata.
Locations like the first kiss scene, the places where they rode the bicycle etc..
You can even rent some bikes, eat at restaurants and do more fun stuff at the island. (^_^)V

Kurisu has found a Ice Cream stand that sells Choco/Vanilla soft ice cream. The cone is fully filled with ice cream from the bottom to the top! (^__^)d

After making beautiful photo's of the scenery, we headed back to the docks to get back to the touring van to take us to our lunch destination...

The restaurant where we had lunch was one minute away by car from the docks. This restaurant was a family restaurant. There we've gotten a whole lot of side dishes of korean vegetables and fish. The tourguide gave us some tips how to enjoy our meal even more...

Petite France in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province
When we finished with our lunch, we headed out for our next destination. It took us about 25 minutes to reach this location, which is Petit France. This location was used for many Korean tv shows like Running Man. After everybody was ready, we headed into the area of Petit France to explore it. Petit France is based on the book that's called "Little Prince"... It's about a pilot who crashed down with his plane and finds a prince and shares his story with him...

A poster has hung up to show which Korean shows used this location... Inside the area they've posted foto's of the film shooting of the tv shows...

We had a nice walk around the area where you can take many nice pictures with a very beautiful background. Here is Lilia with the Petit France buildings in the back with a view of the mountain side...

Because Running Man did a film shooting here at Petit France, it was fun to follow their steps to the places they've been. Here we have Kurisu in the area that they've used in Running Man as the Prison Area.... It seems that Kurisu is the next OUT-guy in this shot (^_^)d

The environment was actually build as a place to stay at for french students, but isn't used for that purpose anymore. It now has become a small recreation park to experience the feeling of france and the story of the Little Prince...  It was really pretty and fun to hang out here, even it was very hot now compared with the morning. (^_^)b

After 1 hour spending their time at Petit France, it was time to head back to Seoul to see the Gingseng Centre. There we had a tour about the origin of the Gingseng of Korea, and what it is used for. With that we ended our day tour...

COEX MALL - Samseoung-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
Next we went to the COEX Mall to explore the area to see what the sell. It was very crowded, but it was cozy and fun. During our walk towards the mall from the subway station, we saw that the Nintendo 3DS was being promoted all over the place. There were many posters and billboards of Korean Celebrities playing on the 3DS and even dressed up as Nintendo famous characters...

After walking around the place visiting many stores, we started to get hungry... So we headed to a restaurant  to have dinner. There we've ordered a fried pork cutlet dish with cheese and sweet patatoes. It was very good, but also very heavy... XD

When we were full of the heavy dish, we went back walking around the place again. We found many fun stores and posters. Posters with Celebrities on it, which was very fun for Lilia to take pictures with (^_^)v

~ Lilia among the famous dudes ~

During our walk trough the mall, we found this place... it is a restaurant of a famous asian person... I bet you can guess who that is hahahaha (^_^) But we will tell you more about that the next time... So it will be coming soon in our up coming blogs...  With this we've ended our 5th day in Seoul which still is awesome...

We are now watching a re-run of running man on the TV before going to bed... Sweet dreams, and see you with our next blog...
