Day 10: Olympic Park and Shopping

The 10th day in Seoul, was the day that we've vistited the Olympic Park. We had to take the subway to this place. After we arrived at the subway station, we quickly saw that the station had the theme of the Olympics...

When we left the station by going top side, we saw the Peace gate in front of us, which also was the entrance to the Olympic park. From there we headed to the Information centre to get the Stampcards for our Quest tour trough the park... Also the show Running Man has been here a few weeks ago, during the time when the Olympic Games found place in London... (^_^)V awesome... XD

After receiving our stamp cards, we rented a bike to go to the main locations of the park to get the stamps and make pictures. The first location was the Peace gate, after that a big thumb statue...

After getting the thumb up, it was off to the Music Fountain. There Lilia took the 3rd stamp we needed to complete our Stamp Quest trough Olympic Park...

The next spot to get a stamp was this statue of two half torso's. As you can see, we rented this tandem bike which was pretty fun to ride trough the park. Unfortunately we could get every where of these main locations by bike, so we had to walk...

We had to get up the hill to take the stamp of this trail path you can see here underneath. After getting the stamp it was up to our next location...

Next we arrived at our 6th location, which was the spot of the Lonely Tree. This tree was standing all alone in the field where it grew up. It was pretty sad to see him alone, but he get's company every day of the visitors of the park...

The flowing location was Lake 88, which has the 7th stamp for our quest.

The 8 stamp was located on the top of this hill, for the Flower Garden.

The last place to visit and to get the stamp was at the Rose Plaza.

With having the final stamp, we headed to the final place which is the second information center. There we had to show our stamps to get a free gift... After getting our gifts, we checked out the surrounding area while cycling back to turn in the bike we rented...

After returning the bike, we went  to the Starbucks to rest and to enjoy the good Coffee we know... Finishing our break at Starbucks we went to the Olympic Museum. There we saw the history of Olympic games from the last few years.

We then headed back after visiting the museum to the subway station. There we went to visit the shopping area of Lotte World again to have our lunch...

For Lunch, we tried the Taco Bell at Lotte World. After making our order, we had to wait a couple of minutes before we could eat...

After rounding up our lunch, we walked around the shopping area. Then we head to the Lotte Mart in Gwangjin-Gu. There we wanted to check out the Toy's R us where the show Running Man held their X-Mas  Special. But unfortunately the Toy's R us was reduced in size at this Lotte Mart. It is now a really small toy section at this Mart. But it was still great to be here because Running Man has also been here... (^_^)V

After visiting this Lotte Mart, we headed towards Myeong-dong to have our dinner. There we ate at this Japanese restaurant where we ordered Friend Chicken with Rice, Eggs, Onions and a bowl of Beef with Rice, Eggs and Onions. It was really good and delicious that we got really stuffed after finishing our dinner... (^_^)

Then we went shopping in Myeong-dong, to walk off the heavy food we had eaten. We went to some stationaries, fashion stores and music & media stores... After that, we went back to our hotel to chill and get ready for the next day. Kurisu bought a Lego set of Spider-man at Toy's R us, which was way cheaper in the Netherlands. It has mostly to do with the taxes that you have to pay in the Netherlands, which is around the 19%. But in Seoul it's around the 10%, so that's a huge difference... So it is better to buy stuff over there because it's so cheap (^_^)V

With this we ended our 10th day in Seoul which still is an awesome place to visit. See you with our next blog. C'yah!!! (^_~)d
