The Flight to Seoul + Day 1: Exploring the surrounding of the Hotel

Sunday 2th of September we flew to Seoul at 7.08pm

This is our plane.

And here we are waiting at Gate 5 before boarding

We arrived around 12.40pm Korean Time.

It was a pleasant flight, we have slept most of the time. We didn't had time to watch movies. We had ravioli/pasta for dinner and omelet for breakfast.

When we arrived, the first thing we noticed, was that it was really hot when we stepped out of the plane. The sun was shining.. We had to walk to the immigration. There they took our fingerprints and digital photo. After that we could pick up our luggage. It was easy to find and our suitcases where already there.

 Look what we saw there... a poster of Girls Generation.

We had to fill out customs declaration and give it when we want to exit the airport.

First we have found a shop for transportation card and then we had to find the bus that would take us to the hotel.

It took us almost 2 hours to reach the hotel.

The sun was already gone, but its still hot.

Finally we arrived at the hotel and we could check- in right away.

I already have read that the hotelroom were small, but it big enough for us. We have a kitchen, toilet, shower and two-person bed (pictures comes later)

After we freshen us up, we went out to explore the surroundings of our hotel.

 We found Lotteria across the street. A fast-food restaurant. We were so hungry that we choose a bulgogi burger. It tasted really good. After that we walked past the different shopping malls and found the Cheonggyecheon Stream. We walked past the stream.

 Then we went to Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park

There are a lots of restaurants close to our hotel. We haven't tried it out. But we will. 

We found a restaurant with the guy from the Variety Show 'Love Letter' Kang Ho-Dong

We brought food and drinks at a supermarket almost next to our hotel

And these are the drinks we brought.

I am sorry that its a short post, making a blogpost is difficult :P

And we are so tired, so we are going to sleep now.

Tomorrow we will go with the metro to Myeongdong.

We are going to visit the Seoul Global Culture & Tourism Center and go Shopping :P.

Our first impressions of Seoul:

* The temperature is warmer than we thought.

* For a monday its really crowded

* Also a little bit overwhelmed by the sudden change of environment compared to the Netherlands. Because of the landscape, big billboards of famous asian artists like Girls Generation, Song Joong Ki, Gong Yoo (Big and Coffee Prince), Lee Seung Gi etc...

* It also feels like a dream to be here..
